What’s an escape room?
Inspired by escape-esque video games, adventure board games, and movies, escape rooms are real-life adventure games where participants are locked in a room, and by using the elements around them solve a series of puzzles, find clues, or piece together answers that help them “escape” within a set amount of time. Participants must be extremely observant, able to collaborate with a team, and use critical thinking skills in order to get out.
Do I need to complete a waiver?
We do not require waivers, but we do have a sign-in form outlining our rules and restrictions. Our first priority is participant safety; the rooms do not require any physical or dangerous activity, however if participants choose to attempt something dangerous, we are not held liable for injury. We include photography information covering the photo we take of the group at the end and post to our Facebook page; we reserve the right to use these photos for other escape room promotion. Are there age restrictions?
Yes, there are age restrictions. A liability waiver is required to participate in any of the rooms, so kids 7-18 must have a parent signed waiver. Kids 7-13 must be accompanied by at least one adult (19 and up).
What if I panic once I’m in the room?
Don’t worry! We have cameras set up in each room so we can closely monitor you, and you will have a walkie-talkie so you can reach us if there is an emergency.
What time should we arrive?
Plan on arriving 10-15 minutes before your scheduled room; you’ll have to sign waivers and make sure your entire party has arrived before beginning your escape game.
Where is Escape Lincoln located?
We are located downtown Lincoln in the Historic Haymarket in the lower level of the Apothecary building—NOT on Highway 2 next to Shogun (and no, we are not affiliated). Be sure to check out our location page for more information.
I’ve done all of your escape rooms!! What now?
First of all: AWESOME!! Second, we have plans for expanding our rooms and switching up themes. Watch for new challenges coming soon!
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be processed at least 24 hours before your scheduled booking. If you need to cancel or move your booking, contact us at email@example.com with your name and email or your booking ID number.
Do you offer a military or service discount?
We do offer a military discount as well as a service discount (law inforcement, firefighters, and EMS services) of 25% off. Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will set up your booking or apply your discount to an existing future booking. Thank you for your service!
Where should we park?
There are a lot of options for parking downtown (see map below). There are metered spots right in front of the Apothecary building, a paid lot to the south of the Apothecary building, and multiple parking garages throughout the Hay Marketing.
